All month long Salt Lake Regional Medical Center has been gathering items for Washington Elementary, which is a school where about 1/3 of the kids are homeless. On Wednesday December 16th, we delivered a check for $2500 from the hospital, various items for the kids (i.e. toothpaste, socks, shampoo, etc) and 150 wrapped gifts for the kids to open on Christmas. After presenting this all to the faculty the principal shared a story that happened just yesterday. One child came to the office asking for toothpaste because he’d never used it before and wanted to know what it was like. What a wonderful experience for us to have this Christmas season and express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed by donating items and their times.
