Salt Lake Regional Medical Center To Host ‘EMS Week’ Awards Ceremony, Recognize Salt Lake City’s First Responders

Salt Lake City, UT – On Thursday, May 19 at 12pm, in recognition of National EMS Week, Salt Lake Regional Medical Center will host its second-annual award ceremony to recognize some of Salt Lake’s brave first responders. The awards will be presented by Bryan McKinley, President of Salt Lake Regional Medical Center to honor the important contributions of EMS practitioners in safeguarding our community’s health, safety, and well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic. Amy Hale, a field supervisor at Gold Cross Ambulance, and Jake Sanchez, a paramedic with the Salt Lake City Fire Department, will receive EMS Steward of the Community Awards. Hale has been with Gold Cross since 2014, while Sanchez has served in the fire service in various capacities for over 16 years.

EMS professionals respond to nearly 28.5 million 9-1-1 calls a year. SLRMC applauds the diverse group of individuals who step up every day to help our communities in need, and SLRMC looks forward to highlighting some of these heroes during its EMS Week luncheons taking place throughout the week.
